Last weekend was Swiss National Day and we have an annual tradition to go away with family and friends to hike in the stunning Gasterntal valley near Kandersteg, Switzerland. I was totally inspired to hike with the parents of my good friend Ellen. They are 74 and 77 years of age and yet accompanied us right to the top of the mountain, leaving behind the younger crowd (those in their 40's and 50's!). They are still in fantastic shape and have made regular exercise part of their personal success habits. Well into their 70's they exemplify true zest for life!
Thank you Paul and Rina for being such inspirational role models and reaching the Kander Glacier (Kanderfirn) at 2411 meters with me - that's us in the picture!
