
As part of my Passion, Purpose and Profit theme, I realize that many of you are struggling to build a business from your passion of helping others or not attracting a steady flow of clients which leads to feast or famine cycles in your business. Read my 3 tips below to get you started on attracting more clients:
Tip #1 - Be clear who your ideal client is (you simply can't effectively serve everyone). What is it that you love about them? What is their pressing problem that you can help them with? How are you uniquely positioned to serve them well?
Tip #2 - Be able to confidently explain to your client in a few short sentences how you can help them. Hint: this is not the time to use "coachspeak" - whilst other coaches may understand what you mean, you run the risk of leaving your client confused as to the services you offer. Use simple, practical language that really speaks to their problem.
Tip #3 - Speak clearly to the results that they can expect to achieve from working with you. Hint: life balance, living more fully your core values or taking you from where you are to where you want to be are not terms your client can fully relate to. How would their life be different if they were more fully living their values? When you can speak to your clients in the practical differences that they would experience, they are more likely to want to know more
